The Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce is in support of more diverse housing in Kamloops.

We support housing development applications that have followed necessary permit processes, and completed appropriate community consultations. The housing will provide benefits to the local economy and can help address the labour and workforce challenges faced by many member businesses.
It’s important to recognize the link between housing and employment. There are individuals who would like to work and contribute to our local economy that are being deterred from doing so due to the lack of affordable housing options in Kamloops.
We strongly encourage Council to support housing development applications that have followed the appropriate procedures and community engagement, that meet the needs of a range of residents.
