Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce Joins BC Chamber in Addressing Acute Workforce Challenges

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its support of a new initiative led by the BC Chamber of Commerce to address acute workforce challenges. This project aims to gather insight into the workforce challenges faced by businesses and job seekers in British Columbia, and to develop solutions to those challenges.

Funded by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, the work will be undertaken in two phases through January 2024. Phase 1 of the project includes a survey that businesses and job seekers can fill out to help better understand the challenges faced by the workforce. The Kamloops & District Chamber encourages all business owners and job seekers to participate in this important initiative and help shape the future of work in British Columbia.

“The Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting the growth and success of our business community, and we understand that addressing labour constraints and developing a strong workforce is key to achieving that goal,” said Acacia Pangilinan, Executive Director of the Kamloops & District Chamber. “We are proud to join the BC Chamber of Commerce in this initiative, and we firmly believe that the insights gathered through this survey will help us better understand the workforce challenges faced by our businesses and job seekers. Help us receive a custom report for our region by filling out the survey at kamloopschamber.ca”

The “Addressing the Labour Market Gap” survey will run from February 7 until Friday, February 24, 2023, at 5.00pm PT. The survey is open to all and can be accessed: https://www.bcmindreader.com/c/r/Addressing-the-Labour-Market-Gap-Survey-kamloops
