Gabriela (Gabby) Harms is a marketing and community engagement professional with a background in digital marketing, community engagement, and event promotion. As Marketing & Special Projects Coordinator for the Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce, she helps strengthen the Chamber’s brand presence, promote member businesses and initiatives, and connect the local business community through meaningful events and engaging communications.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and a minor in Human Resource Management from Thompson Rivers University, Gabby brings a combination of business knowledge, creativity, and a people-focused approach to her work. Prior to joining the Chamber, she worked at Thompson Rivers University in the Faculty of Science as an events and marketing coordinator and student experience coordinator , where she developed communications strategies and grew digital engagement through organic content and storytelling.
Gabby is passionate about showcasing the people, businesses, and experiences that make Kamloops a great place to live, work, visit, and build a business. Through her personal platform, @gabbyoverseasss, she shares local businesses, events, experiences, and tips with an engaged audience, encouraging others to explore, support, and connect with the community she is proud to call home. Through her professional and personal work, she has collaborated with local organizations and businesses on events, campaigns, and initiatives that bring people together and strengthen the community.
She also brings an entrepreneurial perspective through her work in content creation and social media marketing, helping local businesses tell their stories and connect with their audiences online. Her international background and experience building a life and career in Kamloops further fuel her passion for creating welcoming, connected, and inclusive communities.
Whether she is developing a campaign, creating digital content, supporting a Chamber event, or highlighting a local business, Gabby is passionate about using marketing and storytelling to help Kamloops’ business community thrive.
