Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce Launches 2026 Election Hub
New non-partisan online resource brings candidate profiles and voting information together in one place ahead of the October 17 municipal election
Sept. 18 – KAMLOOPS, BC – The Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce has launched the 2026 Election Hub, a non-partisan online resource that brings together everything Kamloops voters need to know ahead of the October 17 general local election, from candidate profiles to voting logistics, in a single place at kamloopschamber.ca/2026-election-hub.
The Hub features profiles of all 51 declared candidates, organized alphabetically by office and surname: 6 candidates for Mayor, 29 for the eight City Councillor seats, and 16 for the five School Trustee seats representing School District No. 73, Area 1. Each profile includes a photo and a link to the candidate's campaign website, where available.
Alongside candidate information, the Hub explains what each level of local government is responsible for, so voters can match their priorities to the right office. It also sets out voting eligibility, the 16 polling locations across Kamloops, and how to vote by mail, with links to the City of Kamloops and School District No. 73 for official election information.
The Hub also houses livestream links and recordings of the candidate forums the Chamber is co-hosting with Castanet Kamloops on September 23, giving voters another way to hear directly from candidates before heading to the polls.
General voting day is Saturday, October 17, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Advance voting is available October 7, 10 and 14, during the same hours, and voting by mail is available by application.
“Every resident has a stake in who represents them at city hall and on the school board – from the services we rely on to how our neighbourhoods grow,” said Acacia Pangilinan, Executive Director of the Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce. “The Election Hub puts everything Kamloops voters need in one place, so residents can head into October 17 ready to vote.”
As with all of the Chamber's election-related activities, the Election Hub is strictly non-partisan. The Chamber does not endorse, support or oppose any candidate, slate or party in this election, and every declared candidate is presented equally.
