Get to know more about those running in the 2022 Municipal Election

CFJC is partnering with the Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce to present an opportunity for voters to get to know candidates in the upcoming election.

The five Kamloops mayoral candidates have been invited to participate in a moderated debate as the centrepiece of the event. In addition, the public will be able to meet and greet local council candidates.

Candidate Networking Event with at 6:15 p.m.
Mayoral Debate gets started at 7:00 p.m.

HOSTED BY JAMES PETERS:

James Peters is the Assistant News Director, promoted to the position in the fall of 2018. He got the journalism bug as a youth and hasn’t been able to shake it since, working in radio newsrooms in Manitoba and Alberta before settling at CFJC in 2006.

James anchors the afternoon news on B-100 and 98.3 CIFM, and his newscasts have been honoured multiple times as the best small market newscasts in both BC and Canada. In addition, he contributes weekly editorials to the CFJC Evening News, hosts weekly politics program Balance of Power, oversees news content on CFJCToday.com. When he’s not working, James enjoys spending time with his wife Jennie, his daughter Eden, and his son Jovan.
