5 Summer Experiences at Sun Peaks

Whether you’re pitching a client or hosting a staff appreciation day, take your next adventure 45 minutes northeast of Kamloops to Sun Peaks. Here are five summer experiences at Sun Peaks Resort to inspire your next regional getaway.

Golf
Situated 1,200 metres above sea level, the Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort is BC’s highest elevation course. Hole 16 is the resort’s signature hole which boasts incredible views of the mountain village and the highest elevation tee box in the province. The 18-hole course is open from mid-May to early October and is often ten degrees cooler than Kamloops in the summer. For group bookings, click here.

Mountain Biking
With 2,000 feet of lift-access trails, riders have 65 kilometres of trails to choose from at the Sun Peaks Bike Park. The mountain bike network continues at the resort and has become a preferred destination for new riders, as well as seasoned shredders. Unsure of where to ride, what to ride, and if your bike is recommended for the terrain? Click here to read up on Bike Park 10.

Village Life
People-watching at patios, window shopping, and market mornings are just a few reasons we love the European-inspired village. The Sun Peaks Market Day takes place every Sunday from June 20-October 10 from 9:30am-1:30pm. Market vendors include artists, farmers, ranchers and more.

Alpine Après
Whether you’re taking a day trip from Kamloops with clients, or have booked a family staycation, we recommend staying awhile longer for bites and brews in the village. Restaurant options range from classic pub fare to Japanese to Italian.

Sun Peaks Resort is just as remarkable to visit in the summer as the winter. Take advantage of the scenic 45-minute drive from Kamloops and enjoy the village with clients, coworkers, or family.
